Materia Medica is divided into “Primary” & “Secondary”, the “Primary”, (29 remedies), being the top recommended ones to have in store; the “Secondary”, (53 remedies), being mentioned in the text but considered less crucial. All remedies are clearly and succinctly described. Therapeutic conditions appear alphabetically within their relevant sections, giving between 2 - 6 remedies from which to choose - for example - "Kidney Disease", "Rheumatism", etc. Flow-chart indications within the "Accidents and Emergencies", section show v. clearly what is appropriate to treat at home and when it is advisable to get the vet in. Differentiates between “General Conditions” and species-specific ones. Species covered: Horses, ponies, donkeys, cattle & sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chinchillas, birds and poultry, ferrets, fish, gerbils, guinea-pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, rabbits, rats & mice, tortoises & terrapins. Excellent & v. comprehensive.
