This is a book of immense scope and erudition. It focuses on the evolution of a highly effective disease-specific application of homeopathy, begun and explored in thousands of cases in Africa. We are all familiar with this approach in homeopathy as it is Hahnemann's idea of the 'genus epidemicus.' Here, however, the authors describe how they went on to apply this 'genus epidemicus' approach to treating collective trauma such as genocide, war, rape and natural catastophes, discovering in the process that resonance can be just as effective in the form of sound waves in crisis situations when remedies in the form of tablets and liquids simply cannot be distributed to where they need to go.
Finally, still navigating according to fundamental Hahnemannian principles, the authors tested the 'genus epidemicus' theory in relation to chronic disease. Working with the understanding that chronic diseases are in part epidemic diseases transmitted by the epigenetic process, the authors applied a disease-specific approach to treating illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, eczema, Ms, Parkinson's and more.

This extraordinary book is not just about theory, however, for it contains many inspiring individual cases which illustrate the success of this approach. These cases address some of the most significant diseases in human history such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Leprosy, Hepatitis, Scabies and Tuberculosis among others. There are also many trauma cases, whether it be the trauma of incest, shock, genocide or natural disaster and finally cases which address chronic diseases such as those mentioned above.

The book has a kind of deep faith at its heart, faith in homeopathy itself but also faith in the way in which this understanding and process has emerged from the ground up in several communities in Africa which may have few resources and little homeopathic education but whose people do not seem to carry the same degree of stored toxic emotional pain that is common to generations of people in the West.

As classical homeopaths, both authors have decades of clinical experience treating individuals, and yet together they have pioneered a successful collective approach to the problem of bringing homeopathy to remote places and communities in need in Africa, alleviating tremendous suffering in the process.
